OUR EXAM REVISION CLASSES – £10 per hour (£20 per session)

WHEN THE CLASSES ARE RUNNING YOU WOULD EXPECT THE FOLLOWING
Each week we will deliver 2-3 topics depending on the size and the probability of the topic being present on the Exam. We research fully the current 1-9 curriculum and analyse previous exam papers and sample papers to know that certain topics appear more regularly than others. Therefore greater time will be spent on those topics during our sessions.
Each topic will be taught in 30-40 minute topic blocks. Each block will be split into two parts. The first part focusing on maths or English skills and misconceptions, the second will be centred around the deeper understanding of that particular maths or English topic and allowing students to access exam style questions.
At the end of each session students will be given preparation work to complete for the following week. This can be accessed through the secure social media site, Google Classroom. Our booklets and video links will be uploaded so that students and parents can view and study them at home. Should you or your child need any help or have any questions regarding the home study work, you can message us directly and we will promptly be on hand to respond back with help and advice.
Each week will be fast paced, personalised and designed to encourage independent learning through the application of maths or English skills in examination questions. The maximum tutor to student ratio of 1:10 students allows us to personalise each session, work in smaller groups if necessary and to provide more rapid support within the session should a student find a certain aspect challenging.
DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT
Completion of exam papers is an excellent way of assessing where your child is at with regards to their progress. At Learning Gaps any exam papers you would like your child to complete will be marked by an Exam board lead assessor. These papers will be accurately marked and will come with a feedback sheet. This will allow you as parents to ascertain where your child has strengths and areas for development. This information will be useful when planning their revision.
